Embroidered Seaweed!
Bride Karin, whilst finishing off her masters in Marine Biology wanted to have a completely unique dress. After spending hours searching for the perfect dress, she came to us with an idea to have a skirt-top combo for her wedding dress with a seaweed lace pattern work.
The Embroidery has been inspired by the plant structure of different types of seaweed. This was designed and produced through digital embroidery. We created the blockwork of the dress pattern on silk and fine tulle, and stitched with our faithful ‘Happy’ machine. It was then constructed to fit Karin’s Body perfectly.
We are so excited to see Karin in her dress on her wedding day as sadly it may be cancelled due to the Covid-19 crisis – but here is a sneak peak of the embroidery!
